Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus to Host Federal Coastal Restoration and Recovery Town Halls Meetings, Thursday, August 5.
On Thursday, August 5 in Houma and Buras, federal officials will hold coastal ecosystem restoration and recovery meetings to discuss Louisiana's coastal needs. Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, who has been charged by President Barack Obama with developing a long-term ecosystem restoration effort for the Gulf Coast, will lead the meetings along with officials from other federal agencies.

Design Meeting for Orleans Shoreline Protection Project Scheduled for July 20
BATON ROUGE -- The Office of Coastal Protection and Restoration will conduct a design (95 percent) meeting for the CIAP Orleans Land Bridge Shoreline Protection Project on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 beginning at 10 a.m. in the 11th Floor conference room of the Chase Building, North Tower located at 450 Laurel Street in Baton Rouge.
